New ideas, New Techniques, New Thinking. Vision of the Future from Massey Ferguson

Plans are in hand for more than 6000 farmers and contractors from 35 countries across Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) to attend the exciting ‘Vision of the Future from Massey Ferguson’ event in Beauvais, France (19-29 August 2014).

All guests will enjoy a three-day stay in Beauvais, home of Massey Ferguson’s Centre of Excellence for Manufacturing and Engineering.

“Following the great success of the first edition of this show in 2012, our spectacular bi-annual event is a catalyst for new ideas for the creation of better and more profitable farm businesses,” says Thierry Lhotte, Massey Ferguson Vice President Marketing, EAME. “We promise a thrilling and thought-provoking experience with plenty to inform and entertain.”

Tractors, harvesting machinery, materials handling equipment and implements plus all the latest technology will be on demonstration and display. In a world premiere, a brand-new series of Massey Ferguson tractors will take centre stage. “These groundbreaking new models truly reflect our vision for a new range of tractors for a new generation of farmers,” adds Thierry Lhotte.

For hands-on experience there will extensive ride and drive sessions at the event. Experts from a variety of fields will be present to discuss a broad spectrum of farm needs – from access to land and credit to resource management. Also on the agenda is a walkaround tour of the new Massey Ferguson Beauvais 2 cab manufacturing facility and International Training Centre.

Alongside all this will run a special conference programme covering hot topics in agriculture. The seminar programme is tailored according to market but among the subjects planned are traction, fuel consumption and soil preservation, hybrid seed technology, added-value production for the food industry, water management and advice on how to hand over a farm to the new generation.

“The farming industry is being presented with a wealth of opportunity,” continues Thierry Lhotte. “Global demand for food has never been higher but at the same time, production costs have increased. We are looking forward to working with our customers to help meet these challenges and maximise the opportunities for a new generation of farmers. In a relaxed and highly professional atmosphere, Vision of the Future from Massey Ferguson is the perfect forum to exchange ideas, learn from each other and think ahead for the development of sustainable and profitable agriculture.”

Key players from the agricultural sector are partnering Massey Ferguson’s at the event. Sharing the same vision for agriculture, they include CEJA (Council for European Young Farmers), Syngenta (seeds and crop protection), Maisadour-Delpeyrat (seeds and food industry), Irrifrance (irrigation and water resource management), Franquet (soil preparation implements), Väderstad (soil preparation and tillage), Agritel (grain forward-selling techniques), L’Institut Polytechnique LaSalle (a University specialising in agricultural engineering), Trelleborg (tyres) and AJ Power (gensets). Also participating are partners form the AGCO family of brands including Fella (green harvesting equipment), AGCO POWER (engines), AGCO Fuse Technologies (precision agriculture), AGCO Parts (distribution of MF genuine parts) and AGCO Finance (finance solutions).
