New Features Enhance MF 9000 Telehandler Range

Massey Ferguson, has announced a number of updates to the MF 9000 Series Telehandlers, enhancing their versatility and making them even more user-friendly.

The new features have been added to the MF 9306 Xtra, MF 9407 Xtra and MF 9407S Xtra after their successful introduction on the new MF 9305 Xtra, launched in 2015.

Handling jobs effortlessly and efficiently, the MF 9000 Series provides operators with the optimum accessibility and manoeuvrability that they require. This range also gives more lift height, a longer reach and the ability to lift heavier payloads offering optimum performance in a wide variety of applications around the farm.

Each telehandler boasts impressive capabilities, whether for loading bales in the field or handling grain or feed in the yard. The MF 9000 range also offers essential and unbeatable visibility thanks to a new cab design that allows the operator to work unhindered and in complete safety.

Brand new features include the Smart Handling System (SHS), which uses the display menu to allow the operator to set the maximum available hydraulic flow. By limiting the maximum flow, loading can be much smoother and more accurate.

Another innovation is the new ECO mode, operated via a switch in the cab to manage oil flow and reduce engine RPM to lower fuel consumption.

As an option, forward/neutral/reverse controls can be fitted on the left hand side of the steering wheel as well as on the multifunction joystick to the right. Depending on the task in hand, the operator can select the direction of movement with his left or right hand; use the steering wheel mounted controls to shuttle rapidly backwards and forwards when loading muck; or keep all functions in control with the right hand when carefully placing bales or pallets for example.

MF 9000 Telehandlers are renowned for their comfortable, user-friendly cab design, and comfort levels will be extended further by the addition of a pneumatic seat.

Ease of use when fitting attachments and towing trailers is essential to get the best out of these workhorses, and Massey Ferguson has made two highly practical updates:

  1. A bucket pin support will be available as standard across the range for machines fitted with manual bucket lock via a pin.
  2. Ladder and auto clevis hitches can also be specified to tailor the MF 9000 telehandlers to trailers with different ring heights and make hitching up easier and more convenient.

“Following their successful introduction on the new MF 9305 Xtra, we are pleased to add these new features to the full MF 9000 Telehandler range. These enhancements to the operation and functionality of our Telehandlers will make them even more practical and versatile – an essential workhorse for any farm or contracting business,” said Jean Benoit-Ozon, Massey Ferguson Telehandler Product Marketing Manager.
