Massey Ferguson welcomes Friends of Ferguson Heritage Club members to Abbey Park

A visit to AGCO’s Abbey Park facility at Stoneleigh in the UK was a key part of the agenda for the Friends of Ferguson Heritage Club’s 2016 Annual General Meeting Weekend.

Hosted by Richard Markwell, Massey Ferguson’s Vice President and Managing Director for Europe/Africa/Middle East (EAME), more than 80 Club members were treated to presentations on the brand and its latest products as well as a tour of the farm machinery Training Centre located at the site.

The FOFHC has more than 5,200 members worldwide and is dedicated to everything related to tractor pioneer, Harry Ferguson, Massey Ferguson and its fore-runner Massey-Harris.

“We have a close relationship with the Club and it was a great pleasure to welcome these truly passionate enthusiasts to our UK facility,” says Richard Markwell, who gave the visitors an update on all the very latest news from Massey Ferguson and its continued growth in the Europe, Africa and Middle East region.

He told members: “We really appreciate the hard work and enthusiasm that goes into making the club so vibrant and the help that you give us in keeping our history alive and relevant. Above all, what connects each and every one of us is our immense pride in being associated with Massey Ferguson.”

The AGM weekend included a tour of the new ‘Tractors – from factory to field’ exhibition at Coventry Transport Museum. Members also paid a visit the Ferguson artwork at the site of the former MF tractor factory at Banner lane in Coventry. A gift from Massey Ferguson to the city, the artwork is a tribute to all those who worked at the factory over a 60-year period.
