A world of experience…working with you in Jersey!

Jersey is renowned for its rich soil, longs hours of sunshine and mild climate. It’s also home to the Massey Ferguson dealership Tractor Services, who recently celebrated 40 years in the business!

In honour of this landmark event, Tractor Services held a number of celebrations. A free family fun day was held in and around the showroom. A range of tractors dating from 1936 to present day were on show, Genuine Jersey members including Richard and Sarah Matlock of Le Robeline Cider and Le Pav Timber attended and there was also an animal corner where children could meet ewes with their lambs and other tame farm animals. Not only was it a chance for Tractor Services to celebrate a long and successful career, but they also took the opportunity to raise over £1,000 for the Jersey Stroke Association and Jersey Hospice Care.

Rob Romeril, who runs the company along with his wife Sharon, said: ‘It was an overwhelming success. We had fabulous support from our customers, friends and the general public. It was absolutely incredible.’

Originally launched as the sole island representative for Massey Ferguson; forty years on, the business goes from strength to strength. An excellent product offering caters for the diverse farms on the island. Today a team of four operate from premises in St Lawrence, just 300 feet from where the original workshop was located, and the ethos of providing an unrivalled, ‘hands on’ customer service remains the same as it was in 1973.

Discussing this impressive milestone for Tractor Services Robert said “We are very proud to have remained an established Island business for forty years. Over the time we have of course seen many changes within the industry and we have had to face a number of challenges. Over recent years we have diversified and along with servicing tractors and commercial vehicles, we now have a large retail outlet stocking a range of products, not only for farmers but also including tools, garage equipment, clothing and a selection of Massey Ferguson children’s toys.

It has also been necessary to embrace the digital era with the development of a website and twitter account and last year we invested in a mobile exhibition trailer enabling us to take the Tractor Services brand ‘on the road’.”

Optimistic and excited about what the future holds Robert said “Each day brings new opportunities and challenges; from the further expansion of our retail shop and new suppliers, to increased enquiries for all types of equipment and accessories.”
