One brand built for every challenge!
From the frozen expanses of the South Pole to the scorching sands of Morocco, Massey Ferguson is more than just a brand. It's a story of challenges overcome, frontiers explored, and bold innovations made.
Join us as we journey through past triumphs, present pride, and future ambitions.

The Second World War mobilized many farmers, destabilizing agricultural production in North America and Canada, which were major suppliers of wheat.

Joe Tucker, a manager at Massey-Harris, proposed a solution to the problems : manufacture 500 combine harvesters and create the "Harvest Brigade."
The goal of this brigade was very simple; to harvest as much grain as possible by following the harvest season from the southern United States to Canada, helping farming families to harvest their resources faster and without loss. The wild story of the Harvest Brigade began, armed with their Massey-Harris No.21 combines, harvesting wheat fields along the way.
This brigade became famous for its efficiency and hard work. The combine harvester transformed the process of harvesting, as previously both a tractor and a separate tool were required to gather crops. It was among the first self-propelled combine harvesters. This innovation made harvesting quicker, more economical, and reduced the need for manual labour.
Finally, thanks to this initiative, countries were able to meet the needs of their citizens, and Massey-Harris clearly proved the reliability and efficiency of our machines in the fields.
In 1955, several countries keen to rise to a challenge: crossing Antarctica. The goal? To be the first to visit it by land and gather data on these rarely explored terrains. To succeed, they called upon two explorers: Vivian Fuchs, in charge of the expedition, and Sir Edmund Hillary, responsible for setting up preparing the future supply bases for Vivian Fuchs.

Fast forward to October 14, 1957, the day of departure. The two explorers set off with their team. Vivian Fuchs chose military vehicles, while Sir Edmund Hillary opted for Massey Ferguson tractors. Of course, the vehicles were modified to survive the upcoming challenges. But one question arose: why did Sir Edmund Hillary choose these tractors? For their reliability and robustness, already demonstrated in Antarctica in 1954 when a tractor worked for 565 hours without needing a single repair.
The adventure begins, but they run into difficulties: it is very cold, the snow is deep, and the altitude is challenging. However, thanks to their determination and courage, Hillary's team arrives first at the South Pole on January 4, 1958, with Fuchs' team arriving 16 days later. Hillary decides to continue the journey and is joined by Fuchs to complete the crossing.
Despite numerous obstacles, they manage to cross Antarctica on March 2, 1958, and gather data that will aid science. Thus, they become the first men to have crossed Antarctica. Fun fact: the tractors used did not have cabins, which gave Sir Edmund Hillary the impression of "crossing Antarctica in a convertible”.
This tractor, close to our hearts, and lovingly known as Sue, could not be resold or kept for personal use. We then chose to exhibit it in our Agrispace museum, located in Beauvais, to share this impressive achievement with farmers from all over the world.
Let's go back to the past, the 1970s. Christian Hurault had only one thing in mind: travelling. And that's what he did in the 1970s when he fell in love with Mali but every good thing comes to an end, and he eventually returned to France. However, a disruptive idea came to him: to do it again, but not just any means: by tractor.

In 1985, he bought a tractor and set off from Paris to Dakar, but along the way, he had to return to France and did not complete his project. Still determined to help Mali in the field of agriculture, he did not give up his project and created the association Tracto'Dak. In search of a sponsor, he went to the agricultural fair in Paris and came across the Massey Ferguson stand. This brand, known for its grand projects, its adaptability and dependability in all conditions, agreed and refurbished 8 tractors, modifying them to adapt them to the meteorological conditions of Africa. In 1986, Christian Hurault and his team set off towards Dakar and Mali. After traveling 6500 kilometers in 5 weeks, they arrived at their final destination. They didn't just deliver the 8 tractors; they also loaded trailers with medicines, fertilizers, and agricultural instruments to help Senegal and Mali develop their agriculture. The conclusion of this journey only served to strengthen the confidence customers place in the Massey Ferguson brand, as well as its reputation for reliability, durability, and support for innovative thinking.
2002 was a special year for Massey Ferguson. With its MF 8280 Xtra tractor, the brand broke the world ploughing record in 24 hours, ploughing an area of 251,376 hectares. For some, it was a simple demonstration of power, but for others, it was a demonstration of the brand's resilience and determination when it comes to its products.

Let's go back to 26 March 2002, in the south of France. The Massey Ferguson team went to the site chosen for challenge. With the weather more than favorable, the team prepared to start the challenge at 1pm.
Time was up, and it was time to give it their all. The first few hours are the most important, and fortunately everything goes well. Although it's mid-March, the weather is on the team's side.
As time went by, the Massey Ferguson team were gradually joined by local residents who cheered on the driver, Gérard BRIEZ. This challenge, although difficult, is marked by good humour and solidarity, which gives a new dimension to the challenge, making it less ceremonial and more of a family affair.
On 27 March 2002, the bell rang, and the record now bears the name of Massey Ferguson. Although it was a tiring day, the pride felt by all present could not be matched.
There's a question on everyone's mind: why test this tractor? The latest offering from Massey Ferguson, the MF 8280 Xtra, needed to prove its worth. And what more convincing a way to prove it than to break the world ploughing record? The MF 8280 Xtra rose to the challenge. This feat would not have been possible without our partners: BP, Michelin and Grégoire Besson.
During this feat, the MF 8280 Xtra proved its durability, power and adaptability. A phrase was then coined to describe the range: Xtra for Xtraordinary.
Believe it or not but true, two Italians set themselves a challenge in 2012 to travel 13,000 kilometers and 17 countries by tractor. And not just any tractor: a Massey Ferguson.

Let's start from the beginning. The idea came from a joke between Gianni Brovida and Leonardo Cavazzi. Very quickly, the joke turned into a project, and the project became concrete when Massey Ferguson learned about it. A touching project because it aimed to help an agricultural school in Chad.
Among all the tractor brands, the two Italians turned to Massey Ferguson for several reasons: reliability, robustness, but above all, a reputation for supporting initiatives that highlight the versatility of machines like this one. For Massey Ferguson, the reason was quite different: to break the image of the tractor that is only used in the fields by proving that the MF products can overcome any obstacle.
The departure quickly arrived: the brand lent one of its best machines, the MF 7624 Gold, to our adventurers, and they set off with it for a "little" tour of Europe. From Italy to Estonia, the 17 countries were crossed without any problems.
Stars in their eyes and hearts full of memories, the journey ended in France at the very headquarters of Massey Ferguson in Beauvais, where the two men were welcomed by the CEOs and visited the factory. The best part of this story? It wasn't just some local farmers who followed the journey; it was the whole world. The tractor was equipped with GPS that allowed the world to follow their route live.
Fun fact: Travelling 13,000 kilometres is not without its unexpected surprises. Fortunately, with a tractor that's as simple as it is effective, every unforeseen event was transformed into a simple break on the side of the road, before setting off again as if nothing had happened. In Norway the temperatures were very low, a nod to Antarctica 1. When they arrived in Germany, they didn't expect to be greeted with a meal and a party organized by the farmers.
Here we go again. The second edition of Antarctica, 56 years after the first exploration of Antarctica. A lady named Manon Ossevoort dreams of only one thing: following in the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary.

Her dream becomes reality when Massey Ferguson learns about the project and lends her its brand-new tractor, the MF 5610. After modifications and preparations, three years pass before the adventure begins.
The "Tractor Girl" and her team set off on Hillary's trail. The same dangers are present: snow, crevasses, temperatures of -56 degrees. What differentiates the two is the time: 17 days of crossing and 2500 kilometers covered, they reach the final point, the South Pole. They hold a world record awarded by the Guinness World Records with the title "the first tractor expedition to reach the South Pole."
During the journey, a few moments are particularly worth highlighting — including an unexpected visit from some penguins! It was a light-hearted encounter, as the penguins curiously approached the red vehicle and the team.
At one point, the team had to shovel snow to free the tractor that was stuck. Rest assured, the journey went well for both the tractor and the team. The tractor demonstrated its reliability and once again showed that it could adapt to any situation, and for the team, that anything is possible, even driving for 23 hours straight.
This journey was much more than a feat; it was an accomplishment never thought possible. Manon recorded her hopes for the future and placed them in a capsule that will be opened in 69 years. Remember, every dream can become reality, believe in yourself and… in Massey Ferguson.
Since 2008, the Morocco Desert Challenge has been thrilling rally enthusiasts with its annual high-octane adventure across the Moroccan desert. Featuring a diverse range of categories including trucks and motorcycles, competitors face the ultimate test of endurance and skill as they race to conquer 3000 kilometers of challenging terrain.
We are proud to announce that in 2025, the first tractor participating in the competition in the truck category is a Massey Ferguson! The idea came from Cédric Goumaz, a Swiss farmer and rally enthusiast, with the support of his MF dealer Küfferagri, wanting to combine his two passions for the rally and for Massey Ferguson tractors!
The countdown began, armed with the MF 8S Dyna E-Power, Cédric Goumaz placed all his trust in his dealer Gilles Kuffer for the modifications. His team and he, knowing the model perfectly, modified it masterfully, making it fit to conquer Morocco.
Two months later, the competition began. The first impression was categorical; racing teams were impressed to see a tractor participating, with such a mechanical team. For a truck, there are usually 14 people; for the MF 8S tractor, there were only 3 people. Too few for some, they managed to prove that this was enough when they had to complete a mission also during the night...
During the race, as you might expect, it wasn't all smooth sailing. They got lost, had to turn back, and experienced extreme heat. But, they finished 75th out of 144 overall and 4th in the truck category. It shows that a simple idea can turn into a successful project when you have the right partners and the best machines! …
Massey Ferguson is not just about grand journeys and big ideas shared live. It is also about actions that don't make the headlines but are just as fundamental, helping ... and this has been the case for a long time.
As early as 2006, Massey Ferguson made its mark by supporting the Susan G. Komen Foundation in its fight against breast cancer. As you might expect, this collaboration took place in October — and October means pink. A pink tractor was specially designed for the occasion and auctioned off with the help of the television show Deal or No Deal. The aim of the sale was to donate the proceeds to the Foundation. Thanks to this initiative, the organisation raised 26,000 dollars. This support didn’t end there: in 2015, Massey Ferguson produced another tractor with pink accents to continue championing the cause.
Breast cancer is not the only cause that Massey Ferguson supports. In 2013, a vintage Massey Ferguson tractor race was organised by Bob Dickman, a former employee of the brand, with the sole objective of raising funds for the association Diabetes UK. A 27-kilometer race resulted in a donation of £2,000.
The collaboration extends worldwide. We all know that natural disasters are devastating. In 2010, after the earthquake in Haiti, the AGCO group donated a Massey Ferguson tractor, a loader, and a backhoe to the association Habitat for Humanity to help the country. This aid also extends to agricultural development. In Uganda, an agricultural school named Kobale Trinity College received a tractor from Massey Ferguson in 2011 to participate in agricultural education. Maintaining nature is also part of the country's development. In Zambia, in 2021, Massey Ferguson donated a tractor to help forest rangers and local communities maintain their green spaces.
We can't list all the MF initiatives around the world, but to sum up, Massey Ferguson is a family, a trusted partner able to support farmers and users in the most ambitious projects: in the fields and... far beyond!
