MF 8225 Self-propelled Sprayer
Each feature of the MF 8225 self-propelled sprayer has been designed, tried and tested to meet your needs.
Spraying is essential to guarantee productivity. To carry out the activity efficiently, the farmer needs strong machines. Massey Ferguson sprayers are equipped with the exclusive high-torque AGCO Power motor, which runs every day at the farmer’s side from sunrise to sunset.

Key Benefits
Fuel efficient Engine
The MF 8225 is equipped with the powerful AGCO POWER 4-cylinder 4.9 litre Tier 3 engine. The engine is programmed to create maximum torque where the drive system requires, providing healthy torque at low revs with 174 HP and 675 Nm of torque at 1,900 rpm.
Cross Drive Transmission
The MF 8225 Sprayer utilises Bosch Rexroth components in its effective cross-drive transmission. Two large capacity 90cc variable displacement pumps drive opposing wheel motors on the front and rear of the machine. The hydrostatic drive system has a poly link between the flywheel and the first pump, providing a fail-safe in the event of a pump failure.
C-Flex Chassis
The fully bolted C-Flex chassis gives the MF 8225 Sprayer the ability to traverse channels, banks and contours most would not attempt. The frame is not welded at any point, so when the suspension runs out of travel, the chassis itself will flex, allowing all wheels to stay in contact with the ground, ensuring the safety of the sprayer even in the most adverse conditions.
High Ground clearance.
The sprayer has a ground clearance of 1.5 m on 380/80R38 tyres and 1.65 m on 380/90R46 tyres, which enables it to spray efficiently in fields with tall crops.
Application accuracy
The MF 8225 comes fitted with a guidance system from the factory. To monitor productivity, all jobs and spray data are recorded on the Topcon X25 terminal and easily stored onto a USB for record keeping and data analysis.
28 Metre Boom
The boom is a design used by AGCO for many years with added strength to handle arduous South American conditions. Consequently, the boom is strong, reliable and floats exceedingly well even in high-speed spraying applications. A 28 metre boom is available as standard, and an option of 25 metre boom.
Comfortable Operator Environment
The cabin of the MF 8225 Sprayer is simple, uncluttered and functional to maximise operator comfort and safety. Controls are ergonomically arranged, within easy reach and the cabin provides a generous amount of space to increase daily productivity and reduce fatigue, especially when spending long hours behind the wheel. The adjustable air ride seat combined with the air-conditioning system and low levels of noise and vibrations ensures a comfortable and pleasant workstation at any time of the year.
Technology & Innovation
AGCO POWER 6.6 litre Tier 3 engine
The engine is programmed to create maximum torque where the drive system requires, providing high torque at low revs. With 174 HP and 675 Nm of torque at 1,900 rpm, there‘s no hill too steep to navigate.
Bosch Rexroth Transmission
The self propelled sprayer utilizes Bosch Rexroth components in its effective cross drive transmission. With huge amounts of torque and no loss of traction, the sprayer gives you the control in even the toughest conditions.
4X4 Hydrostatic Drive System
The hydrostatic drive system has a poly link between the flywheel and the first pump, providing a fail-safe in the event of a pump failure.
Active Airbag Suspension
Each airbag is controlled by its own dedicated mechanical valve making sure the ride is adjusted to every change in condition. It offers a longer service life as shock loads are soaked up by the suspension, not the chassis and boom.
Sprayer Cabin
Controls are ergonomically arranged, within easy reach and the cabin provides a generous amount of space to increase daily productivity and reduce fatigue, especially when spending long hours behind the wheel.
Cabin Comfort
The adjustable air ride seat combined with the air-conditioning system and low levels of noise and vibrations ensures a comfortable and pleasant work station at any time of the year.
Main Commodity Tank
The 2500 litre tank has dual hydraulic agitators and a single oscillating tank rinse nozzle fed by a 240-litre freshwater reservoir. The tank sits in a cradle which allows the chassis to flex if required beneath the tank.
Filling Station
The filling station is simple to understand and operate. It Features include: 2” and 3” cam lock fill point, 568 l/min reload pump, Unload point, 26.5 litre hypro chem hopper, adjustable agitation rate, Fresh water pump on/off, Tank rinse.
Sprayer Boom Design
The boom is strong, reliable and floats exceedingly well even in high-speed spraying applications. The booms are fitted with section control and a fence line nozzle. The boom is available in 28 metres width as standard, and 25 metres as an option.

Massey Ferguson’s complete guidance system for hands-free steering, available factory fit on new tractors or as an after-market installation. The system uses Trimble - RangePoint, Trimble - CenterPoint and RTK corrected signals to increase efficiency.
Section Control
With the fully automatic Section Control , operators can apply crop protection products without overlapping. This prevents double treatment and areas worked outside of the field edges.
