This baler is low on cost but high on quality construction and advanced features. This 4’x5’ baler is a perfect match for smaller-scale operations focused on dry hay production.
The 1745 D is built to get the job done. It is equipped with features others include only on their premium round balers, such as a two-cylinder density system, wedge grip forming belts and a second-to-none mesh system. Drop-and-go is also a standard feature on the 1745 D, so there's no need to shut off the PTO each time a bale is dumped.
The 1745 D makes consistent 4'x5' bales without the guess work. Simple chain drives and hydraulic tension delivers the bales you want without all the fuss. The easy to use control box automatically applies mesh or twine to each bale.
Ease of Use and Maintenance
Not only is the 1745 D easy to use, maintenance is a breeze as well, with only five drive chains, staggered belts for trash clean-out and few trash collections points you stay running longer.
Wrap It Your Way
Each 1745 D comes standard with twine tie, you can choose a mesh wrap option as well. The mesh system on the 1745 D comes from the Hesston by Massey Ferguson® 2900 Series Commercial round balers — it is easy to load and applies an even, tight wrap each time.
Technology & Innovation
GET A GRIP
In order to positively grip incoming hay and build consistent dense bales, the 1745 D utilizes wedge grip forming belts with alligator laces. These belts let you easily bale a wide range of crops and are easily serviced as needed.
THE BENEFITS OF BALANCE
The balanced tension system uses twin hydraulic cylinders to maintain tension and build more uniform bales.
MULTIPLE TYING MODES
Deluxe auto-tie bale monitor on the 1745 D gives you fingertip control of automatic, semi-automatic or manual tying modes.
QUICKER BALE STARTS
Our patented open-throat design and vertical bale chamber allows the bale to start quickly without helper rolls for consistently solid, high-quality bales.
BIG BALES, SMALLER TRACTOR
The 1745 D round baler produces solid, easy-to-handle round bales with as little as 40 PTO HP.
BETTER MESH WRAP OPTIONS
The 1745 D features a mesh wrap option with easy mesh routing and extra roll storage to keep you baling longer.
HEAVY BALES SAVE YOU TIME AND MONEY
The 1745 D is capable of packing an industry-leading 1,250 pounds into a dry hay bale — 25% more than our competitors. You'll have fewer bales to gather, load, transport and store, which saves you time and money.
DRIVE TO SUCCEED
The 1745 D features the legendary Hesston drive system for long-lasting performance, reduced maintenance and lower operating costs.
