Sowing Good Deeds

Congratulations to our 2022 Winner: Reno Rodeo

Reno Rodeo’s investments in youth, health and first responders in the northern Nevada community reflect exactly what we look for in a winner. In 2022 alone, the Reno Rodeo donated over $700,000 to charitable causes impacting their community. And their work didn’t stop with financial contributions. The Reno Rodeo and their volunteers are boots-on-the-ground folks, with their Special Kids’ committee putting on Reno Rodeo Special Kids’ Rodeo, open to all northern Nevada exceptional children. The event lets northern Nevada exceptional children participate in rodeo events and learn about the Western way of life. Reno Rodeo volunteers are also frequently helping at junior and high school rodeos in their region, all while navigating the challenges of hosting their own event with 100 years of history.

AGCO Corporation, through its brands Massey Ferguson and Hesston by Massey Ferguson, is a proud sponsor and longtime friend of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA). We applaud the generous support PRCA-sanctioned rodeos provide for local, regional and national charities and organizations. To raise awareness of the tireless efforts of these organizations, Massey Ferguson and Hesston established the Sowing Good Deeds™ program. This annual award recognizes local PRCA rodeo committees who go above and beyond to make a positive impact on their communities.

Each year, five finalists are chosen from dozens of nominations, with one rodeo committee winning a Massey Ferguson® tractor worth up to $60,000 for the outstanding work they do.

We will be sharing the stories of rodeo teams across the country who are Sowing Good Deeds in their communities. One rodeo committee will be chosen to win a Massey Ferguson tractor for the good work they do. Submissions for the 2022 Sowing Good Deeds program have now closed.

  • Open to all PRCA-sanctioned rodeo committees in good standing, regardless of size, located within the 48 contiguous U.S. states and the District of Columbia.
  • Participating rodeo committees must apply for the Sowing Good Deeds program and meet certain criteria.
  • Participating rodeos will receive a Hesston and Massey Ferguson Sowing Good Deeds banner to hang in their arena.
  • Grand prize winner receives a Massey Ferguson tractor valued at up to $60,000 as well as a trip for two to the PRCA Awards Banquet, Nov. 30, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to accept the prize.
