Customers and business partners welcomed in week-long innauguration event.

Gary Collar, Senior VP and General Manager, Asia Pacific and Africa had the honour of cutting the ribbon to declare AGCO’s newest office facility open on 11 January. In this significant landmark, the AGCO India team based in Gurgaon, near New Delhi ensured that this was no quiet internal event.

The move to the new office reflects the growing potential for AGCO in India and South Asia. The office will be the base location for key AGCO staff based in India who work closely with our customers, suppliers, and strategic partners. The multifunction AGCO team – Global (MF) Marketing, Purchasing, and Sparex, and G&P - made sure their customers and business partners were invited and involved in a series of week-long meetings and events to hear and engage with the AGCO India team’s ambitions for growth.

Declan Hayden Vice President Global Sales & Operations Planning,  Warwick McCormick, Vice President and Managing Director, ANZ and Far East, and Larry Pritchett, Sales Director, APAC G&P, were instrumental in the move from the old office which AGCO established in the year 2012 to support sales operation, sourcing & liaison activities in India.

 The new facility represents a substantial upgrade from the previous offices.  Naveen Sareen, Director Business, G&P and the India Office Site Lead, praised all the AGCO India team members for their contribution to the planning and implementation of the move into the new office which is now fully supported by AGCO Global IT. Naveen commented that the new facility is not only a great place for employees to work but also for receiving customers and partners. It reflects the quality values of AGCO and is an extremely functional and effective working environment.

AGCO India has a total of 18 employees, administered and supported by local HR lead Isha Arora. Isha, who hosted a visit from Julie Laughton, HR lead for ANZ and Far East region, played a significant part in assessing office location options in the area and planning the move itself.

As a part of the opening event, Gary Collar met journalists from the Wall Street Journal, as well as a key AGCO customer who had just awarded projects worth USD18 million.

In summing up his visit Gary said. “I really enjoyed meeting the team and taking the time to focus on our India opportunities.  We have a very capable team in India and I appreciate the excellent spirit and obvious commitment here. The opportunity and growth we are recognizing for 2017/18 are representative of our potential, going forward. The team’s hard work over the past few years is now gaining traction and is positioning us well for excellent growth.”

The latest achievements of the AGCO India team certainly give them much  to be proud of and shout about!
