Massey Ferguson to Preview 3 New Ranges at LAMMA 2015

Massey Ferguson is proud to announce that no less than three brand new tractor ranges will be previewed at LAMMA 15, alongside a full and comprehensive range of machinery that sees the brand springboarding into 2015 full of confidence amid a growing market share.

First to preview will be the MF 1700 range of compact tractors. Ideal as a yard scraper, or for smallholdings, the MF 1700 is a powerful, yet maneuverable compact tractor, bearing all the hallmarks of its larger MF stalemates in terms of power, performance and reliability. The MF 1700 is available in both cab and platform versions, and is fitted with a hydrostatic transmission as standard.

Stealing the limelight, however, will be the first UK showing of MF’s new Global Series of tractors, the MF 4700. Showing at LAMMA, the platform version of the MF 4700 will be the first of this new modular range of machines. It is the result of a $350m white paper investment by AGCO, and is the long awaited addition to the extensive range of choice that Massey Ferguson now offers.

Since the inception of the brand, Massey Ferguson has produced more than four million tractors in the 60 – 120 hp bracket.

With the new Global Series, Massey Ferguson has taken the concept of the utility tractor and re-engineered it from the ground up to meet the needs of present and future farming. On offer in this power bracket is an array of build specifications, options and accessories, all designed to help tailor your machine exactly the way you need it for your farming operation. Ideally suited in platform version as a yard tractor, or for indoor operations, or a smallholding, Massey Ferguson can confirm that the full range of MF 4700 series, including cab models, will be available for sale in late 2015.

MF are keeping the final range to be previewed at LAMMA under tight wraps, but confirm that it will be a new range built at the Massey Ferguson factory in Beauvais France, and will feature a number of new models, incorporating innovative new features.

Commenting on the considerable number of new machines being shown, National Sales Manager, Rob Dunk says “ The UK and Ireland continue to be important growth markets for Massey Ferguson, so it is only fitting that we use the first show of the year, LAMMA as the perfect opportunity to introduce these exciting new ranges to farmers. We continue to see Massey Ferguson growing in all horsepower sectors, and these new ranges will help us achieve continued growth. Massey Ferguson’s comprehensive range of tractors, combines, balers and telehandlers has never been in better shape, and we will be bringing some special spring offers to LAMMA with us.”

Massey Ferguson continues to see market share growth from its investment in harvesting technology. Centora and Beta combines, built at the AGCO centre of harvesting in Breganze, Italy will be at LAMMA, alongside the best-selling MF range of big and small square balers, from AGCO’s factory in Hesston Kansas.

“We are working closer than ever in partnership with our dealers to develop our harvesting business” comments William Judge, National Sales Manager, AGCO harvesting. “ We recognise the investment that harvesting machinery involves, and are working hard to prove that we offer something different from other brands. Our support infrastructure continues to be proven to be reliable and robust, and with our harvesting promise on parts delivery now available we are pleased to be setting the highest levels of industry support for these products”.
