Massey Ferguson and its dealers are gearing up for a successful 2008 grass-cutting season with an uprated and extended range of premium quality ride-on garden tractors and mowers featuring either stepless automatic or fully hydrostatic wheel drive.
Suitable for residential, estate and semi-professional users with a variety of grass expanses and conditions to maintain, this year’s ride-on mower and garden tractor offering from Massey Ferguson is set to build-on the excellent results achieved throughout Europe during 2007, the first full season for MF’s extended line-up of grounds care equipment.
For the 2008 season, the company’s ride-on mower and garden tractor range encompasses:
● Seven tractor-mowers equipped with direct-collect mid decks in cutting widths ranging from 0.76m to 1.22m (30in – 48in), all with rear-mounted grass catchers as standard. Mulch kits are available as an option for those who prefer to finely chop grass clippings and return them to the ground to act as a natural green fertiliser. Power outputs of the seven machines are from 15hp to 25hp.
● Three rough-cut tractor mowers with side-discharge decks available in cut widths of 0.96m, 1.06m and 1.27m (38in, 42in and 50in), all fitted with mulch kits as standard.
Two models have a 15hp single cylinder engine, the third is powered by a 25hp twin cylinder engine.
● A 25hp garden tractor with 1.37m (54in) side-discharge cutting deck and optional mulch kit. This rugged, commercial-quality machine has hydraulic deck lift, power steering and heavy-duty shaft drive.
● A zero-turn rider mower powered by a 22hp V-twin engine and equipped with a 1.27m (50in) cutting deck. The deck, which is mounted directly beneath the operator, features electric drive engagement and can be specified with grass collection or mulch kit options.
Available from early spring onwards, Massey Ferguson’s 2008 line-up of ride-on garden machines is set to further reinforce the company's goal to be a serious long-term provider
of premium quality, cost-effective products to the professional and residential grounds care markets throughout Europe.
