Massey Ferguson is aiming to consolidate its position over the coming 12 months as one of the top four suppliers of tractors and associated equipment to grounds care, landscaping and municipal customers world-wide.
That was the message spelt out at an event staged for the European grounds care, amenity and municipal press on 19 June at Abbey Park Stoneleigh, the new European Office Facilities of Massey Ferguson's parent company, AGCO, located in Warwickshire, England.
Massey Ferguson's global target is underpinned by the progressive actions and exceptional results achieved by the company in Europe over the past year. These include:
● A 50 per cent increase in sales of Massey Ferguson tractors and associated machinery into the European amenity, landscaping and grounds care market, reinforcing the company's stated commitment to be a major long-term provider to the professional and high-end residential markets across the continent
● The successful European launch and integration into the MF product line-up of the MTD-manufactured range of commercial and residential grass and grounds care equipment
● The continuing appointment of specialist grounds care sales and service dealers to complement Massey Ferguson's existing line-up of around 1,700 combined agricultural and grounds care dealer outlets throughout Europe
● Sustained investment in new products and advanced technologies needed to meet the performance and environmental demands of end-users from high-end residential through to full-scale contract and municipal operations. As in the agricultural sector, Massey Ferguson remains in permanent product launch mode with every machine in its grounds care range newly introduced during the past four years . . . with the promise of more to follow.
The physical proof of Massey Ferguson's commitment to the industry was clear to see at the Abbey Park press event which featured the largest-ever gathering in one place of Massey Ferguson tractors and equipment suitable for the grounds care, amenity and municipal sectors.
Among the products demonstrated and available for journalists to assess during the day were 18 compact and mid-range tractor models from 19.5 hp to 170 hp, including the latest MF3600 series models; 12 walk-behind, ride-on and zero-turn mowers; petrol and diesel all-terrain vehicles (AgTVs); the MF 20MD 4 x 4 utility vehicle and a number of new and recent product introductions including walk-behind snow throwers and a high-visibility panoramic cab option for MF6400 series and MF7400 series tractors ideal for contractor and municipal verge-mowing applications.
Professional and high-end residential users looking for a tractor, mower or associated grounds care machine designed to deliver first class performance, fuel economy and all-round operator comfort and convenience should visit www.masseyferguson.com where Massey Ferguson's entire product line-up for grounds care, amenity and municipal users is on permanent display, together with a comprehensive country-by-country listing of appointed MF sales and service dealers.
