Powershift with Power Shuttle for the MF 1500 Series Compact Tractor Range.
Plus a new MF 1500 Agricultural specification with Field Fold ROPS.
19 – 46 hp
The new Dyna-QPS transmission option for Massey Ferguson 1500 Series compact tractors features both Power Shuttle and Powershift functions within a 12 forward/12 reverse speed mechanical gearbox.
It is available on three models: The MF 1533 (32hp), MF 1540 (38hp) and MF1547 (46hp), fitted with either a cab or ROPS (roll-over protection structure).
The Dyna-QPS features an electro-hydraulically operated Power Shuttle enabling users to change direction, without using the foot clutch, by simply flicking a lever, mounted to the left of the steering column.
This ease of use is further enhanced with the powershift transmission, which provides electro-hydraulic, on-the-move shifting between the four speeds within each of the gearbox’s three ranges. Speed changes are actuated by a pair of switches mounted on the side of the mechanical range change lever.
All MF 1500 Series compact tractors specified with Dyna QPS are fitted with an enhanced analogue/digital instrument panel. This unit incorporates an LCD screen displaying the shuttle lever position, the selected Power Shift ratio, the selected range ratio and other driving information.
Other transmission choices for the MF 1500 include a 12/12 mechanical or three-range hydrostatic transmission (12/12 mechanical only on the MF 1533).
The full MF 1500 Series range features seven models from 19hp to 46hp, available in cab or platform versions. All are powered by three cylinder engines, apart from the largest model, which is a four-cylinder. The lightweight and versatile range is ideally suited to a wide range of work and comes with a wide choice of hydraulic and PTO specifications.
Massey Ferguson’s newly introduced Field Fold ROPS also adds a new agricultural focus to MF’s range of high specification MF 1500 Compact Tractors.
Cab comfort for the MF 2400 Ag-Compact tractors 33 - 47hp
A new cab is now available for all three models in the MF 2400 Series from 33hp to 47hp, with the option of air conditioning on the two larger models.
The MF 2400 Series agricultural compact tractors are now well established as rugged and reliable workhorses that provide dependable, easy-to-use operation in a compact package. The addition of the factory fitted cab option will further extend versatility, particularly for users that require higher operator protection and comfort.
The spacious, four-post cab is fully noise compliant and offers superb access and visibility to the side from wide-opening, one-piece glass doors. The cab also has opening front and rear screens. Despite its spacious internal size the cab does not impair the tractor’s compact dimensions, allowing it to retain its superb manoeuvrability.
Equipped to a high standard the cab features a roof-mounted heater/blower with carbon filters. Work lights are mounted in the front and rear along with a warning beacon. Controls are clustered, tidily, in the roof console, which includes all the switches for the lights, windscreen wiper, wash/wipe beacon and clock. The controls and vents for the heater and ventilation are also in the same position along with the air conditioning (where fitted) and the fuse box.
Cab comfort for the MF 400 55 - 66 hp
Since their introduction earlier this year the straightforward 55hp MF 410 (2WD) and 66hp MF 420 (2WD or 4WD) tractors have proved extremely popular.
Already being used for a wide range of applications with users that require rock-solid reliability and ease of use, these versatile all-rounders are now available with a new factory-fitted cab, which is being introduced at EIMA.
The extra comfort and protection offered by the modern, stylish cab will further extend the tractors’ usefulness for all seasons and even more applications.
Despite the cab’s spacious internal dimensions and modern styling the tractor still retains its compact dimensions. Wide, rear opening all-glass doors provide easy access along with great visibility. There is also a good view through the opening front and rear screens.
Working lights are mounted to the roof front and rear, along with a warning beacon. Switches for these, the wipers and ventilation and the fuse box are positioned in the roof console, just above the operator’s head.
The first public showing of Massey Ferguson’s eagerly anticipated MF 3400 Vineyard, Special and Fruit Series Power Shuttle transmission 64 – 98 hp
Massey Ferguson will also be showing the latest development for its Vineyard, Specialist and Fruit tractors with the first public viewing of its MF 3400 Power Shuttle transmission.
This significant addition allows operators to change direction with the simple flick of a lever on the left-hand side of the steering wheel, without using the clutch. An additional bonus is that on-the-move gearshifts can be made by simply pressing a button on the gearlever, again without having to use the foot clutch.
This feature will particularly find a home with users who manoeuvre their tractors in confined spaces.
Massey Ferguson launches its new MF 3600 Range of Multi Purpose Tractors
58 – 91 hp
The all new MF 3600 tractors are real all-rounders - true agricultural and municipal general purpose tractors. With powers up to 91 hp they are compact and manoeuvrable making them ideal for front end loader work. While straightforward to operate and maintain they also have a high specification with plenty of options to tailor the machines to suit specific requirements. The latest SISUDiesel 33DT and DTA fuel efficient engines offer high performance and quiet operation. A proven Carraro SpA transmission offers 12/12 speeds for 2WD and 24/24 with options for 4WD models. The 40 km/hr 24/24 unit can be specified with Power Shuttle or Speedshift, both of which also come with electro-hydraulic differential locking.
See the separate MF 3600 press release for more details.
Massey Ferguson’s Show of Force
Massey Fergsuon’s current focus on the sub-100hp sector follows its much heralded resurgence in its higher power, draft and topwork tractors aimed at professional large area growers, for which it has won more awards in Europe than any other manufacturer.
The MF 6400 Series and MF 7400 Series now benefit from significant new features to further boost performance on six models in its mid- to high hp tractors, including the MF 7485, MF 7490 and MF 7495 (equipped with the Dyna-VT transmission), and the MF 6485, MF 6490 and MF 6495.
Along with introducing the latest generation SisuDiesel engines to meet legislative requirements, Massey Ferguson is also adding a power boost for PTO and transport on new MF 6400 models. This is the perfect match for the Dyna-6, Eco transmission on MF 6400 models, which offers a top speed of 50km/hr, depending on market legislation.
With this Dyna-6 Eco the top transport speed is achieved at low engine rpm for optimum economy, with the optional QuadLink front suspension further improving comfort and road-holding.
Examples of these latest designs, the MF 6490 and MF 7495 are on show at EIMA. They feature the new style pivotting bonnet, which provides ease of access for routine maintenance as well as a smart appearance.
MF Dyna-4 on all models in MF 5400 Series
Massey Ferguson’s new Dyna-4 transmission is now an option on all models in the MF 5400 Series from 75hp to 125hp. Offering four powershift steps in four gears it provides completely clutchless operation and further increases the tractors’ outstanding versatility, improving performance and saving fuel.
After starting the tractor with the Dyna-4 transmission there is no further need to use the clutch to change any speeds or direction. Four speeds in each range can be changed, under load, simply with the flick of a lever. The four ranges can also be selected, without using the clutch, by simply pressing a button on the console-mounted lever.
Massey Ferguson’s unique Power Control lever is perfect for using the benefits of Dyna-4. Mounted on the left-hand side of the dash, the lever is perfect for shuttling backwards and forwards, leaving the right hand free to control equipment.
Its functions don’t stop there. Firstly it is used for pulling away. All the operator needs to do is push the lever forwards or back and the tractor moves off, and there’s no need to use the clutch again. ‘Pulsing’ the lever shifts through each of the Dyna-4 steps individually, or holding it forward or in the back position will change through the steps in sequence. Moreover, lifting the lever disengages the clutch.
A new transmission control lever, mounted on the right-hand side console provides full control, changing gears and Dyna-4 speeds. Push this small ‘T’-shaped lever forwards or back to select the four Dyna-4 steps either individually with a ‘pulse’ or up or down in sequence by holding it forward or in the back position. Change through the gears with the same lever by simply holding in a button on the side and moving it back or forwards. Speedmatching automatically selects the correct Dyna-4 speed to match the forward speed when changing gears.
The Dyna-4 makes the MF 5400 Series the perfect loader tractors, when combined with features and options, such as Visio Roof and steep nosed bonnets (up to MF 5455), plus the unique 100 litres/min combined flow hydraulics which are selected with a flick of a switch and joystick control.
In addition to these features, Dyna-4 equipped MF 5400 tractors also benefit from reduced in-cab noise levels of 75 dB(A), further increasing operator comfort.
Ultimate visibility from ‘clean beam’ MF 900 Series loaders at EIMA
The ‘clean beam’ design on Massey Ferguson’s new MF 900 front-end loaders provides a completely clear view ahead. All hydraulic pipework is enclosed within the boom providing ultimate visibility, improved safety and less risk of damage to components. This integrated engineering approach ensures the loaders are a perfect fit on MF tractors. There is a model in the new range to fit all latest Massey Ferguson tractors from the MF 2400 right through to the powerful MF 8400 Series.
All models also feature increased lift capacity and greater lift heights. The MF 900 Series is built to the highest standards to maximise performance, reliability and ease of operation, without compromising the tractor operation or serviceability.
