Engine

The SisuDiesel Tier II engines used in the 8400 series feature Electronic Engine Management (EEM). Not only does EEM give these Engines today’s emission certification, but also provides unmatched performance while in the field.

This unique feature will allow the engine to communicate with the fuel pump and tractor, so the necessary adjustments can be made automatically.

These Engines are also up-to 3 decibels quieter then the previous Tier 1 engine. All 8400 series engines are turbo-charged and air-to-air after cooled with Bosch electronic fuel pumps.

More features include:

  • Uni-flow cylinder head ports precondition intake air entering the combustion chamber for increased efficiency.
  • The engine timing gears, eliminating the need for separate belt drives the water pump.
Integral oil cooler extends service intervals and eliminates the need for added radiators, hoses and belts.
  • Separate wet cylinder sleeves will ensure easy coolant circulation.
  • Dual cylinder heads provide more room for pre-stressed head bolts that prevents coolant or combustion leaks.
  • Cooling ribs on cylinder sleeves give more surface area for cooling circulation. This also provides better heat transfer.
  • Cross-flow design provides excellent fuel economy.
  • Two preset engine speeds provide the operator with the comfort and efficiency of exact engine speeds when needed.
