Baler Drives

Hesston Series Models 2190 (4x4) uses only six drive chains from the massive gearbox while Model 2170 (3x4) and Model 2150 (3x3) use only five. New for 2007 the Model 2190 (4x4) baling capacity has been increased by 30%. All three large square balers have a heavier flywheel design to maintain inertia while not drawing excessive tractor power. The main drive from the tractor is slipclutch protected; the packer and pickup, which are not timed, are also slipclutch protected.

The stuffer and knotter which are timed are design for simple trouble-free use. The Hesston Series large square balers timing is the easiest to set on the market.
