Optional Silage Baling

Hesston series silage round balers are a good choice for high moisture hay conditions.  The Model 2846 or 2846A can be ordered from the factory silage-ready or a silage kit can be field installed for both the 4x6 and 5x6 models. The silage option adds the following features:

1. A scraper knife keeps crop from wrapping around the starting roll.
   
   
2. Three idler rollers in the baler tailgate are equipped with scrapers to reduce wet crop build-up.
   
   
3. A larger single tailgate roller aids in the reduction of wet crop build-up.
   
   
4. With the 2800 Series design, factory installed rollers do not need to be replaced when field installing a silage kit, saving time and money.
