Silage Baling

Hesston Series Silage Round Balers are a good choice for high moisture hay conditions.  The Model 2746A can be ordered from the factory silage ready or a silage kit can be field installed for both the Model 2746A or 2756A. The silage option adds the following features:

1. Steel rods replace the rubber flaps on the starter roll for less hay wrapping. 
2. A sheer knife is added to the starter roll.
3. Three idler rollers in the baler tailgate are replaced with crowned rollers to improve belt tracking.
4. A spiral tailgate roller is added for belt tracking and to prevent wrapping.
