Overfill Protection

The mechanical overfill protection provides the Model 1734 with protection from damage that could occur if an oversized bale is produced.

 The declutcher rod disengages the pickup drive when the maximum bale size has been reached.  This prevents additional crop from entering the bale chamber and forcing the bale forming belts, that are traveling in opposite directions, from contacting each other. A main drive slip clutch protects the 1745, 1746 and 1756 bale chambers.
