Balanced Bale Tension
In the dual arm system on the Model 1734 a top arm maintains belt tension while the bottom arm keeps tension on the bale. The tension is applied to the arms through preset springs on each side of the baler. The system is balanced with the springs on both sides of the baler, reducing strain on the baler frame and making more consistent bales.
A spring initially controls the single tension arm on Models 1745, 1746 and 1756 and is in effect when the bale core is started. As the bale starts to grow, the hydraulic density system takes over keeping consistent pressure on both the bale and belts. The density system is balanced with a hydraulic cylinder and spring on each side of the baler.
