  Optional in the 1523, the 2 range hydrostatic transmission is easy to operate and maneuver around trees, flowerbeds and anything else you might encounter around the lawn.   9x3 Gear Transmission
  Simple, dependable and economical, that’s what you get with the 9x3 gear transmission available in the 1528 tractor and 1532. Now that both the gear and range shift levers are located in the left control console this transmission is easier to operate than ever before. Easily go from forward to reverse with 3 forward and 1 reverse gear in each of the 3 ranges with 1st gear and reverse in line on the 1528. Operating the 1532 is even easier with 3 forward and 1 reverse gear in line.
  
  3 Range Hydrostatic
  Optional on the 1528 and standard on the 1531 this 3 range hydrostatic transmission is a great choice for lawn and grounds maintenance. With individual forward and reverse pedals precise control is within easy reach. This transmission option is great for jobs such as mowing, loader work or any job around the home or estate where you have to change speed and direction a lot.

• Large Chassis Transmission Options
   
  8x8 SynchroShuttle
  As the base transmission in the 1529 and an optional transmission in the 1532 model the 8x8 SynchroShuttle transmission provides you with 8 forward speeds and 8 reverse speeds. The shuttle lever is located on the left side of the dash within easy reach of the operator. Directional changes can be accomplished by depressing the clutch and moving the shuttle lever to the desired direction of travel, the tractor does not have to come to a stop. This is an economical transmission with exceptional performance, perfect for almost any job. With smooth operation like this, you would expect to pay much more.
  
  12x12 PowerShuttle
  A step up from the SynchroShuttle the 12x12 PowerShuttle provides 12 forward speeds and 12 reverse speeds. With four speeds below 1 mph this transmission is great for jobs such as core aeration or any other job that requires very slow constant speeds. The shuttle lever can be actuated without removing your left hand from the steering wheel making this transmission a great choice for loader work. To change the direction of travel simply slow the engine and move the shuttle lever to the desired direction of travel. A wet clutch, which has excellent durability characteristics, is used to control the shuttle shifts and provides long life. 
  
  3 Range Hydrostatic
  Easy to operate and unmatched performance are what you will get with the new hydrostatic transmission available in the 1533, 1540 and 1547. Separate forward and reverse pedals are placed so there is plenty of room to rest your foot you have precise control of speed and travel direction. And the new engine acceleration feature makes this tractor even easier to operate since the HST pedal also controls engine speed. As you push on the forward/reverse pedal the engine will speed up and then slow down when you begin to let up making this transmission operate like car with an automatic transmission. You can also use the hand throttle to set the speed when you need it to stay constant for operations using the PTO or other operations requiring a constant engine speed. Easy to operate and long lasting this transmission is a great choice for lawn care, landscaping work or any job where you need to change the direction of travel and travel speed regularly. 
  
  12x12 DynaQPS
  Available only in the 1547, 1552 & 1560 cab models this transmission combines the rugged durability of the PowerShuttle with the convenience of a 4-speed powershift. This transmission allows you to change direction and gears without using the clutch. Two buttons are right at your fingertips on the range. Shift the lever to shift up and down through the four gears. After slowing the engine simply move the powershuttle lever to the desired direction of travel and the tractor will slow itself down and change direction. Now you can easily up shift and downshift when working conditions change to keep the tractor at peak performance. This transmission is great for all types of jobs and working conditions.
