Model 3740 Hesston Series Rotary Rake
Plenty of built-in adjustments let you quickly and easily change everything from the tine height, to machine level to windrow width on the Massey Ferguson Model 3740 rotary rake. It’s the newest addition to the new Hesston Series rake lineup. Featuring a 140-inch rotor equipped with 48 double tines on 12 tooth bars, this ruggedly built model rakes in up to 14.75 feet of crop material per pass, while using gentle, cam-operated tine action to preserve leaves and nutrition.
A standard 540-rpm driveline with a built-in torque limiter provides consistent performance, regardless of tractor ground speed. Meanwhile, tandem walking beams allow the rake to glide smoothly over rough and uneven fields without skipping over crop material. When your needs call for the gentle handling of a rotary rake, you can’t beat the Model 3740.

- Standard tandem axles provide extra flotation over rough and uneven fields and help keep the rake from bouncing, which can cause rake teeth to skip over crop material.
- A 540-rpm PTO driveline, with a built-in torque limiter powers the dependable, yet economical drive system.
- Rotor cam bearings and follower bearings are sealed in the rotor housing where they’re continuously lubricated with SAE 250 liquid grease.
- A leveling crank at the front of the machine allows you to level the rotor arm tines, matching tractor drawbar height.
