Engine

The Power you need

Fuel efficient 3-, 4- or 6- cylinder direct injection diesel engines power the MF 400 Series. Renowned for their power, reliability and economy. Output ranges from 46 to 130 ISO hp with capacities from 2.5 to 6 litres.

These engines are low-revving, high torque units that can handle a wide variety of operations.

Their optional engine air filter pre-cleaner significantly reduces the amount of dust reaching the main air filter.

Transmission

Transmission

Performance boosting transmissions

All 3- and 4-cylinder come with 8-speed transmission as standard, with 12-speed synchromesh gearboxes as an option.

The MF 460, MF 465 and MF 475 have 12-speed synchro as standard.

These well-proven and robust transmissions provide reliable operation and ease-of-maintenance.

Rear Linkage

Hydraulics, Linkage & PTO

Simple, effective and convenient

The powerful, highly efficient Ferguson three-point-linkage system provides lift capacities up to 3200 kg on the MF 400 Series.

For increased reliability and component life, the hydraulic system features reduced oil turbulence and improved filtration. All machines (excl. the MF 415) have independent auxiliary hydraulics, producing excellent flow rates of up to 50 litre/min for maximum implement compatibility.

A selector valve allows combined flow from the linkage and auxiliary pumps.

Cab

Operator Environment

Comfort, simplicity & safety

The MF 400 Series’ spacious, ergonomically designed operator’s environment offers reduced noise and vibration. The cab features a semi-platform design with a large platform area, for ease of operation and driver comfort.

Controls are simple to use and easily accessible, with an easy-to-read instrument panel and improved switches, while foot controls are operated by pendant pedals for further comfort.

The cab’s steering wheel features a thicker, more comfortable rim design, and all models are fitted with a spring suspension seat mounted on a semi-platform seat deck (except the MF 415).

Narrow Versions

Narrow Versions

Dimensional variations available

The versatility of the MF 400 Series range is further enhanced by two narrow versions of the MF 415 and MF 435 models.

Available in either 2- or 4-wheel drive with track widths as narrow as 1.1 m and overall width down to 1.46m.

Featuring 100mm lower driving position than the previous narrow versions, work in traditional orchards, vineyards or coffee plantations is no trouble.

Factory-built High Clearance versions are also available, approx 600mm ground clearance under front axle differential.

The MF 415, MF 425, MF 435 and MF 440 models are fitted with a side drive 4WD front axle for more compact dimensions and greater ground clearance.
