AGCO SISU POWER Engine

AGCO SISU POWER Engine

All MF 8600 series tractors are equipped with AGCO SISU POWER engines, which guarantee precise power and high performance.

These engines feature ‘Tier III-compliant’ Electronic Engine Management (EEM), which makes continual fine adjustments to fuel injection, resulting in lower emissions, more power and superb fuel economy. EEM also enables a range of advanced engine control functions, including Engine Speed Control.

The ‘extra power’ feature provides more power at 2,000 rev/min than at 2,200 rev/min. This is consistent with PTO speed so that maximum power is available for all PTO applications.

Switches are conveniently mounted on the right-hand console enabling engine speed to be pre-set and memorised.

The ability to return quickly and easily to precise engine speeds will boost productivity, improve work quality and simplify operation in almost all of your daily tasks.

Selective Catalytic Reduction

Selective Catalytic Reduction

Tomorrow's technology, today

Economic. Efficient. Ecological - e3.

The AGCO SISU POWER’s e3 Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system for engine management and exhaust-gas treatment helps to reduce exhaust pollutants and fuel consumption, without compromising performance.

Used in conjunction with AGCO SISU POWER engines, SCR means an end to damaging emissions and high fuel costs.

The system treats exhaust gases using AdBlue® diesel exhaust fluid. AdBlue is metered in precise quantities and is injected via the Bosch control system into the exhaust, which includes a catalytic converter.

The SCR system is easy to control and maintain, with the AdBlue held in a separate tank next to the fuel tank. The AdBlue tank only needs to be filled every second fuel tank fill.

SCR technology will be essential for meeting strict emissions limits early next decade, whilst saving money on rising fuel costs and protecting the environment for the next generation.

Dyna-VT Transmission

Dyna-VT Transmission

State-of-the-art functionality

To give you the highest possible power and productivity, we use the best transmission system.

Dyna-VT is designed to ensure maximum productivity, reduce physical strain on the operator and optimum fuel efficiency at all times.

The unique power control lever makes forward/reverse shuttling and speed change convenient and hassle-free.

Forward and reverse speed and rate of acceleration can be pre-set within each of two ranges. By using SV1 and SV2 and ‘pre-setting’, the speed will be maintained automatically and memorised at engine shutdown.

Headland turns, loader work and many more field operations become faster, easier and less tiring.
The ‘Supervisor’ is always on stand-by and activates when engine speed falls under load. When the load on the engine is increased and engine speed drops, the transmission will automatically reduce forward speed to maintain total power. The tractor will then operate at maximum output as load fluctuates.

To keep you in constant control and comfort we now offer Dynamic Tractor Management (DTM) which works in conjunction with Dyna-VT. This electronic management system automatically controls the engine and transmission when activated.

DTM handles engine speed to maintain required forward speed and minimises engine revs without losing power whilst keeping fuel consumption to a minimum.

The system works in harmony with Dyna-VT, allowing you the option of lever or pedal modes.

Dyna-VT and DTM work consistently at maximum efficiency and economy whilst maintaining a smoother drive quality and a noticeable reduction in fuel consumption.

Operator Environment

Operator Environment

In-Cab excellence

The interior of the MF 8600 is as modern as its exterior.

This spacious ‘Panorama’ cab features a purposeful layout, with superb instrumentation, intuitive Dyna-VT controls and levers and switches thoughtfully grouped on the new armrest to the right of the operator.

The ‘Panorama’ cab now boasts four pillars rather than six for unrestricted visibility.

There is an extremely comfortable driver’s seat and a brand new 4-point suspension system which ensures the cab is at an even level. For further comfort the option of OptiRide Plus allows the operator to control the level of damping through the dial in the cab.

A single, wide door and unobstructed flat floor provide excellent access at all times, and fine-tuning of the machine means that in-cab noise levels have been considerably reduced.

The Datatonic 4-Control Centre Display (CCD) has a 7” colour monitor mounted on the armrest. It is fully adjustable to allow optimum viewing of all the tractor’s functions.

The instrument panel is mounted on the telescopic steering column along with the multi-function lever, dot matrix controls and ‘Power Control’ lever.

The instrument panel is clear and concise, with two main digital displays as well as an analogue rev counter. All main tractor warning functions can be viewed from here so you are always in total control of your machine.

The MF 8600 suspended cab is available with numerous features including a cool box, extra plug sockets for mobile phones and laptops, radio and CD player, air suspended swivel seat, telescopic side mirrors and electric de-icing. Optional extras include CD Player with MP3 compatibility, Dynamic suspended cab, super-deluxe air suspended seat and automatic air conditioning.

PTO

PTO

Meeting operational demands precisely

Optional front PTO is available across the MF 8600 range. With a choice of 6 or 21 splines at a PTO speed of 1000 rev/min, the combination of robust front linkage and various PTO options will intensify productivity and flexibility.

Independent 540 Eco/1000 rev/min or 1000/1000 Eco rev/min PTO is available, with all PTO controls grouped on the right-hand side.

Nominal PTO speeds are achieved at, or near to, 2000 rev/min which is maximum engine power. With the benefit of a ‘constant power’ band of up to 600 revs and the ability to select any ground speed at the chosen engine speed, you can achieve a perfect match of PTO speed, forward speed and power – with optimum economy.

For lighter duty work, ‘540 Eco’ or ‘1000 Eco’ PTO speed is achieved at around 1600 engine revs, improving fuel economy and helping to reduce in-cab noise levels.

In ‘Auto’ mode, the PTO is automatically disengaged when the linkage is raised (or when travelling at speeds above 25 km/h) and re-engaged when the linkage is lowered.

The Transmission Controller monitors and controls PTO engagement depending on load, ensuring that you have 4-wheel drive when you need it and switching it off when you don’t. The system also engages the differential lock when you need it and disengages it when you don’t.

QuadLink suspended front axle is fitted as standard, with excellent ground clearance and good turning angles even with larger tyre sizes.

All MF 8600 Series tractors are equipped with hydrostatic steering which provides light, positive, accurate steering in all operating circumstances.

Optional SpeedSteer enables the operator to adjust the steering ratio and select the number of steering wheel turns required for a given amount of steering angle turns.

Optional Auto-Guide satellite navigation system uses leading GPS technology to guide your tractor and implements at higher rates of speed and accuracy.

Auto-Guide steers the tractor without operator input, reducing driver fatigue and fuel usage and eliminating unnecessary chemical application.

Hydraulics and Linkage

Hydraulics and Linkage

More productivity, power and responsiveness

Massey Ferguson’s digital Electronic Linkage Control (ELC) system gives the highest standards of draft control with more accurate depth settings and better ground contour following. The result is more weight transfer and better traction, giving less wheel slip, reduced tyre wear and fuel consumption and greater output.

With frequently used controls armrest-mounted and a straightforward ELC control panel, accurate operation is easy.

For faster implement attachment rear linkage can be operated from push buttons mounted on each rear fender.

The Closed Centre Load-Sensing (CCLS) hydraulic system provides 175 l/min oil flow for both linkage and external services with virtually instantaneous response.

As flow and pressure are regulated according to demand, there’s no wasted power or fuel. ‘Decompression couplers’ enable equipment to be easily connected and disconnected under pressure.

With four electro-hydraulic valves as standard and a further 6 rear spool valves, the Fingertip Spool Valve Management System enables complex equipment to be controlled with ease and precision.

Built into the CCLS spool block is the ‘Power beyond’ facility. Extra flow and return pipes provide oil flow directly from the pump, enabling additional remote spool valves to be connected, without occupying the existing couplers.

Active Transport Control (ATC) is integrated into the ELC system. It is a shock-absorbing system which minimises the ‘pitching’ action, automatically adjusting for different implement weights. This is operated from the cab at the push of a button, giving smoother, safer, faster transport and minimises the risk of damage to the lift system.

ATC operates in conjunction with QuadLink to give exceptional stability when transporting or operating mounted equipment at speed, for greater comfort, safety and productivity.

Twin external lift rams, high visibility pick-up hitch and drawbar, quick-attach hook top and lower links, external linkage control on both rear fenders, twin variable float telescopic stabilisers and three spool valves are all standard equipment. Rear linkage lift capacity is an immense 12,000kg.

All models are fitted with oil immersed, power-assisted disc brakes which give reassuring, fade-free braking, even with heavy loads, and optional factory-fitted hydraulic trailer brakes can also be fitted.
MF 8600 Series tractors come complete with a brand new, fully Integrated Front Linkage System, which has been consolidated into the overall design of the machine.

Two front hydraulic couplers provide hydraulic service for implements and, with an overall lift capacity of just over 5,000 kg, the MF 8600 Series tractor will cope admirably with heavy-duty applications.
