MF 1800

‘Straight through’ design for straightforward baling

MF 1800 Series - Massey Ferguson Square Baler Range

The MF 1800 Series is a range of three 'centre-line' small rectangular balers, with pickup widths of 1.5 or 2.0 m. The wide pickup is available on either a 'standard' duty model (the MF 1837) or a 'heavy duty' model (the MF 1839), which is ideal for high usage or contracting. All three models produce bales that are just the right size for easy handling or feeding, and just the right density for efficient storage and transport.

Choose MF 1800 Series balers for high quality square bales that are just the right size for easy handling and just the right density for efficient storage, season after season.

Model Bale Size (W x H) Plunger Pickup Working Width

Features

Easy on the road, easy in the field

A unique ‘centre line’ allowing the crop to flow quickly, with minimum damage through the baler in a straight line, for smooth operation and easy transport.

With the same field and road positions, operators can just pull into the field, lower the pick-up and start baling, meaning no time consuming manhandling required!

The wide pick-up (1.5m – 2.0m) features a small diameter, ‘low profile’ design with closely spaced tines, ensuring windrows are picked up cleanly with minimal disturbance and leaf loss.

The crop is pre-compressed into a slice in the pre-forming chamber before entering the bale chamber – this pre-formed slice concept enables the baler to operate with a shorter plunger stroke, significantly reducing plunger bearing wear.

Shorter plunger stroke means plunger speed can be increased giving boosted capacity and higher productivity.

Rugged knotters are designed and built to operate reliably over many years with minimum fuss or maintenance, whether using plastic or sisal twine.

With the centre line design, tractor PTO requirements are kept as low as possible - only 30 PTO hp on the MF 1835 and 35 PTO hp on the MF 1837 and MF 1839.
