Simple and ruggedly-built, the Freeflow cutting table has light and easy control to harvest any crop effortlessly.

With cutting widths from 4.2 m – 6.6 m, the Freeflow table features a welded frame to which bolt-on panels (such as the table bottom plates) are mounted, making it extremely easy to replace parts when necessary.

Cutting duty is carried out by a self-cleaning Schumacher knife and gearbox. The cut crop feeds into a large diameter table auger fitted with feathering fingers along its whole length to ensure a positive feed of crop into the main crop elevator.

The auger is protected by a slip clutch, and reel adjustment is electro-hydraulically controlled with speed changes made via a variator unit on the left-hand side of the table.

Automatic cutting height control is standard to maximise cutting performance over all terrain, and Massey Ferguson’s optional Autolevel feature allows the table to follow changes in land contour of up to 8%.

All ACTIVA combines are fitted with a hydrostatic four-speed transmission as standard – to provide more flexibility, ensure optimum-harvesting speed is achieved and give more tractive effort on uneven terrain.

High inertia cylinder as well as Active Beater Concave provide maximum threshing performance.

The cylinder is 600 mm diameter x 1340 mm wide meaning that peak loads will not slow down the drum and affect threshing ability.

The concave has independent adjustment of the front and rear settings, giving the operator more control over threshing performance.

Active Beater Concave (located at the rear if the main concave under the rear beater) provides an extra 14º of concave wrap to give even more threshing output.

Active Beater Concave also controls straw flow onto the walkers from the rear beater. It is adjustable depending on straw length and moisture level, and provides the ability to optimise flow of straw, achieving as much separation as possible.

Closed bottom-design straw walkers feature four steps and are equipped with punched grid ‘active walls’ to give extra open surface area for more efficient separation.

A full width electrically-adjustable fan provides clean air to the high performance sieves ensuring an excellent grain sample in all conditions.

Straw choppers feature serrated knives to give a clean chop and reduce the power requirement. For residue handling, options of electrical deflectors and chaff spreader are available.

A fully-adjustable shearbar, stationary knives and straw chopper hood ensure complete control over the quality and spread of the chopped straw.

Excellent XL cab offers driver comforts including air con, heating, deluxe suspended seat and electric mirrors as standard.

The XL cab on the MF 7242 gives a superb position from which to control the harvest.

Driver comfort and maximum output is ensured with full air-conditioning, heating, integrated cool box, laminated tinted windscreen, a deluxe seat with armrest and multi-function ‘Hydro lever' and six working lights on the cab, one on the grain tank.
