Atrium is latest link in investment chain at Beauvais
Published date August 14, 2009
The opening of a new atrium link marks the culmination of a 3.4 million euro investment programme at AGCO’s Beauvais factory in France.
The plant, which builds the MF 5400, MF 6400, MF 7400 and MF 8600 Series welcomes over 10,000 visitors a year to see tractor production at first hand.
The new curved glass atrium will serve as an entrance area and product showcase and is part of a four-year, staged development programme which has seen office extensions for Engineering and Sales, a new International Training Centre, Driving Track and Visitor Centre. Since 2003, AGCO has invested more than 200 million euros at the plant including enhanced manufacturing, engineering, research and design facilities.
An extremely impressive operation, Beauvais is France’s largest tractor producer and the country’s biggest exporter of farm machinery. There is great deal for visitors to see and experience at the plant and the highly-professional programme includes a factory tour, product displays of machines past and present, a video presentation and a visit to the MF shop.
