Massey Ferguson increases sponsorship agreement with Melbourne Rebels
Published date July 02, 2012
Massey Ferguson has announced an extension and expansion of its sponsorship with the Melbourne Rebels. The new agreement sees Massey Ferguson increase its commitment from ‘coach sponsor’ which it’s held since the Rebels inaugural season last year, to now become the new ‘Sleeve Partner’ until the end of the 2014 season.’
The Melbourne Rebels compete in the highly acclaimed Super 15 Rugby competition which was re-vamped to a three-Conference format to drive a greater sense of interstate tribalism with the added international flavor that is provided by the inclusion of teams from South Africa and New Zealand.
In confirming the agreement, Managing Director of Massey Ferguson, Warwick McCormick said:
“We’ve been the coach’s sponsor since the club’s inception and our relationship with the Melbourne Rebels has been first class right throughout. The partnership has proven to be a good fit between our two organisations with the strong sense of community that we both share, which is particularly important with our large rural customer base. Plus we are also part of their business to business program which is a real highlight of the partnership and when the opportunity arose to upgrade to the sleeve sponsor, it didn’t take us long to realise this was a great chance for us forge an even stronger bond with the Rebels.”
The upgrading to sleeve partner will now see the Massey Ferguson logo prominently appear on the sleeve of the Rebels home and away jerseys.
RaboDirect Rebels General Manager, Commercial and Marketing Christine Finnegan said the deal is testament to the hard work that takes place behind the scenes in ensuring the club delivers the best possible service standards available.
“Relationships are key to what we do and we work very hard to ensure that our Partners maximise their return on investment,” said Finnegan.
“Our business to business program has been very successful this year and highly respected brands such as Massey Ferguson have been key to us attracting other great partners. We will continue to grow this Program over the coming seasons.”
