Central New South Wales farmers and contractors picked up some tips on how to get the best performance from their Massey Ferguson balers at a customers’ day hosted by the Cowra Machinery Centre and the Forbes Machinery Centre in August.

Some 56 Massey Ferguson customers were on hand, hosted by 10 staff from the two machinery centres. Each customer received a troubleshooting guide tailored to the machine that they own.
AGCO hay equipment product manager Joh nRussell says now the customers and dealer mechanics have the exact same informatio on hand. When an issue arises, the customers can ring a mechanic who can possibly even talk them through the issue without the need for a service call, saving both time and money.
The day started with classroom session that covered the basic systems used to produce large square bales and information on machine updates.
After lunch, the AGCO Academy's knotter training stand was used to explain the operation and maintenance of the knotters used on MF balers.
Operators and mechanics also closely examined the balers that were on hand for the occasion so the operators could get advice on maintenance and adjustments, not only to improve the performance of their machines but also extend their service life.
